Exciting news for the Stockport & Tameside House Project!!!
Posted 4th September 2023
We are proud to announce that one of our Stockport young people has moved into his own home. It's a really exciting time for Safar and he is delighted that he has finally moved in!!!! Gareth, his facilitator, has been a great support and has worked hard to make sure that Safar was able to get all the things he needed to make the move as smooth as possible. Throughout the whole process, Safar has demonstrated his independence and maturity by taking ownership early on and turning his flat into a home. We would like to give a big shout-out to Louise from Stockport Homes for all her support with the housing process and also to Liam, Safar's PA, and Jill the Senior Practitioner from the Stockport leaving care team for all their hard work!!
The team have all worked extremely hard to guide Safar through the House Project Programme and it's great to see all that pay off!!! we are super proud of how far he has come since joining the project last September and we are excited to see what the future holds for Safar.................watch this space!!!!!!!!!

Even though Sue is fully in control of this decision-making process - something our young people often are not - the transition has still been discombobulating; letting go of something she enjoys and that has defined her, and moving on to something that will be incredibly rewarding and joyous.
